G.E. Holliday's story begins with him spending the better part of his teen years getting into trouble In 1990s Atlanta. From crazy ex-girlfriends, running with gangs to hustling crack all while being raised in a single parent house hold living in the housing projects. life was tough for G.E. Holliday music was the last thing he would have ever imagined. Until that faithful day a obsessive girlfriend called the cops and contraband was found underneath his car. Faced with doing serious prison time G.E. Holliday decided to leave for college and change his life. Once in college the music bug Began and he enrolled In as many music courses he could find flunking all of them, with out a prior musical back ground he didn’t even know what a 4/4 count was. Persistent but still flunking out of college G.E. Holliday returned back to Atlanta & spent years learning & interning at several major Atlanta recording studios & record labels looking for the opportunity to showcase his producing & songwriting skills with rejection after rejection. G.E. Holliday decided it was time to record, sing, play all instruments and produce his own Album himself. Sacrificing every penny, he could and at one point working 16 hours a day he finally managed to build his own Recording Studio called "Mag-Gre-Arts" fashioning it on a medieval Afrocentric vibe complete with 808 drums and analog tube vintage gear.
